The “plum” blue 1964 Jaguar E-Type, Race, Coup is a beautiful special car in our collection. The vehicle which was purchased and restored from Classic Showcase, in Oceanside, California. This model was from an E-Type body, but it had been changed into a race car body. Malcolm Sayer who designed the base E-Type, was first showcased at the 1961 Geneva Show. Though there is unclear number of Race E-Types produced, since it is a rare race spec vehicle, 18,808 base E-Types were made.
We have two Jaguar E-Types in our collection, the other E-Type is also a race spec vehicle but it is a convertible. We call these “sister” cars as they have same race spec.
